We have a range of these rose like Gypsum from Coombah in NSW. Approximately 125km below Broken Hill, another locality famous for unearthing beautiful Aussie gems! This is a beautifully unique specimen!
Origin: Coombah, NSW
The gypsum "desert rose" is found by digging in the sand that forms the lake bed. The crystals are believed to have formed by the recrystallisation of dissolved gypsum leached down to this layer by recirculating ground waters, following the rare events when the lake actually fills.
